Abstract:
(EN) A tilting pad thrust bearing arrangement (30), comprises a circular array of pads (351, 352, ...) having tilt pivots (381, 382, ...) and supported spaced from a carrier surface (33) by supporting spring means (40) in the form of a stack of at least two annular, axially deflectable spring members (41, 42). Each spring member (41 and 42) is spaced from an adjacent surface, the carrier surface (33) and spring member (41) respectively, by an array of deflection pivots (411, 412, ..., 421, 422, ...) disposed one pivot each between the tilt pivots of adjacent pads and acting as a fulcrum for spring deflection. The spring deflection pivots are in line axially so that upon axial loading of the bearing pads the spring (42) closest to the pads deflects at a first rate to contact the next spring (41) and the spring combination deflects at a second rate, at least until it contacts the carrier surface (33). Any number of springs may be stacked to give appropriate overall progressive deflection characterising.
(FR) L'invention a trait à un palier à patins oscillants (30) comportant un groupe circulaire de patins (351, 352...) dotés de pivots inclinables (381, 382...) et maintenus à distance d'une surface porteuse (33) par un élément ressort de soutien (40) prenant la forme d'un empilement d'au moins deux éléments ressorts annulaires (41, 42), pouvant fléchir axialement. Chaque élément ressort (41, 42) est séparé d'une surface adjacente, la surface porteuse (33) et l'élément ressort (41) respectivement, par un groupe de pivots de déflexion (411, 412..., 421, 422...) disposés de manière que chaque pivot soit situé entre les pivots inclinables des patins adjacents et qu'il agisse en tant que point d'appui pour la déflexion du ressort. Les pivots de déflexion du ressort sont alignés axialement de manière qu'après la sollicitation axiale des patins, le ressort (42) situé le plus près des patins, fléchisse à une première vitesse pour venir au contact du ressort suivant (41), et que la combinaison des ressorts fléchisse à une seconde vitesse, au moins jusqu'à ce qu'elle vienne au contact de la surface porteuse (33). On peut empiler n'importe quel nombre de ressorts afin de donner une caractéristique de déflexion globale progressive appropriée.
