Abstract:
(EN) Precipitated silicas useful as reinforcing materials for elastomers such as rubber exhibit a specific surface BET between 80 and 185 m2/g, an oil absorption (DBP) value generally between 135 and 220 ml/100g, and CTAB surface area in the range from 25 to less than 140 m2/g. The precipitated silicas are prepared by acidulation of an alkali metal silicate under carefully controlled conditions.
(FR) Ces silices précipitées utiles comme matière de renfort pour élastomères, du caoutchouc notamment, font montre d'une surface spécifique BET comprise entre 80 et 185 m2/g, une valeur d'absorption d'huile (DPB) comprise, d'ordinaire, entre 135 et 220 ml/100 g et une aire superficielle CTAB dans une plage allant de 25 à moins de 140 m2/g. On produit ces silices précipitées par acidulation d'un silicate de métal alcalin dans des conditions très surveillées.
