Abstract:
(EN) An electronic brake management system for controlling the application of fluid pressure to the brakes associated with wheels on a vehicle is disclosed. The system comprises a plurality of hydraulic valves for controlling the application of fluid to the brakes and a plurality of valve drivers for controlling the valves in accordance with respective electrical control signals for the plurality of valves. The system further includes a valve pulse width modulation controller for generating the respective electrical valve control signals applied to the valve drivers. The electrical valve control signals from the pulse width modulation controller are modulated to reduce the amount of electrical power supplied by the individual ones of the electrical signals once the valve associated with the one of the electrical signals has changed its opening to a desired position. The system further includes a brushless motor for driving a hydraulic pump for supplying fluid to the brakes in accordance with a pulse width modulated motor control signal from a motor signal modulation controller. The brushless motor provides a feedback signal to the motor signal modulation controller which is indicative of the position of the brushless motor rotor.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système électronique de gestion des freins qui est destiné à commander l'application de la pression du fluide sur les freins reliés aux roues d'un véhicule. Le système comprend plusieurs vannes hydrauliques qui commandent l'application du fluide sur les freins ainsi que plusieurs dispositifs de commande de vannes servant à commander les vannes conformément à des signaux électriques de commande destinés aux vannes. En outre, le système comprend un contrôleur de modulation d'impulsions en durée servant à générer les signaux électriques de commande correspondants, appliqués aux dispositifs de commande de vannes. Les signaux électriques de commande des vannes, émis par le contrôleur de modulation d'impulsions en durée, sont modulés pour réduire la quantité d'énergie électrique fournie par les signaux électriques individuels lorsque la vanne associée à l'un des signaux électriques passe de la position d'ouverture à une position désirée. De plus, le système comprend un moteur sans balais entraînant une pompe hydraulique qui fournit le fluide aux freins conformément à un signal de commande du moteur à modulation d'impulsion en durée, qui provient d'un contrôleur de modulation de signaux du moteur. Le moteur sans balais envoie au contrôleur de modulation de signaux du moteur un signal de réaction qui indique la position du rotor du moteur sans balais.
