Abstract:
(EN) A brake control system for controlling an amount of braking force applied to a wheel of a vehicle running on a surface, comprising a sensor for measuring a speed of the wheel and for providing an output signal indicative of the speed; and a controller, operatively coupled to the sensor, which implements a Kalman filter to estimate an amplitude and location of a peak in a $g(m)-slip curve representative of a coefficient of friction between the wheel and the surface based on the output signal of the sensor, and which controls the amount of braking force applied to the wheel based on the amplitude and location of the peak.
(FR) Cette invention concerne un système de commande de frein conçu pour commander l'intensité de la force de freinage appliquée à une roue de véhicule en mouvement sur une surface. Ledit système comporte un capteur conçu pour mesurer la vitesse de la roue et pour délivrer un signal de sortie représentatif de la vitesse; et un organe de commande, fonctionnellement couplé audit capteur, qui met en oeuvre un filtrage Kalman pour estimer l'amplitude et la position d'une crête de la courbe 'rapport de glissement/coefficient de frottement $g(m)' représentative du coefficient de frottement entre la roue et la surface en fonction du signal de sortie du capteur, et qui commande l'intensité de la force appliquée à la roue en fonction de l'amplitude et de la position de la crête.
