Abstract:
(EN) A cleaning apparatus for a MIG welding apparatus has a pressurized gas conduit (42) which directs a jet of compressed air at a welding wire (18) extending between an outfeed of drive rolls (14) and an inlet (36) of the wire liner of a conventional MIG welder. The nozzle (45) has an adjustment structure to facilitate adjustment of an angle of discharge of the air jet relative to the wire axis, one type of structure being at least one loop (60) within the conduit. One or more loops within the conduit also effectively increase length of the conduit so as to enhance vibration of the nozzle which causes transverse oscillation of the nozzle. Oscillation of the nozzle causes the air jet to sweep rapidly back and forth across the wire, removing any foreign matter carried on the wire. This reduces chances of the wire jamming in the liner which tends to occur with prior art MIG welder due to foreign matter on the wire being carried into the liner.
(FR) Ce dispositif de nettoyage destiné à une soudeuse MIG comprend un tuyau (42) de gaz sous pression, qui dirige un jet d'air comprimé sur le fil électrode (18) entre le côté sortie des rouleaux d'entraînement (14) et le côté entrée (36) de la gaine intérieure du fil d'une soudeuse MIG classique. La busette (45) comporte une structure de réglage, qui facilite le réglage de l'angle d'évacuation du jet d'air par rapport à l'axe du fil, un type de structure étant au moins une boucle (60) disposée à l'intérieur du tuyau. Une ou plusieurs boucles augmentent sensiblement la longueur du tuyau, de façon à accentuer les vibrations de la busette qui provoquent son oscillation transversale. Du fait de l'oscillation de la busette, le jet d'air balaie rapidement la surface du fil et élimine ainsi tous les corps étrangers portés par ce dernier. Le système diminue les risques de coincement du fil dans la gaine intérieure, ce qui se produit souvent avec les soudeuses MIG existantes du fait que des corps étrangers passent du fil dans la gaine.
