Abstract:
(EN) A cyclonic filter assembly (10) used for separating unwanted debris from a fluid. The cyclonic filter assembly has a vertically oriented centrifugal separation chamber (30) which receives a tangential injection of debris laden fluid. The tangential injection causes the fluid to circulate around a cylindrical vortex finder (60) which is inside and coaxial with the chamber. The centrifugal forces acting on the debris causes the debris to move outward away from the center of the chamber. The vortex finder has an opening (62) which pulls in relatively clean fluid near the center of the vortex while the debris laden fluid settles into a collection chamber (50) below the cylindrical tube. The vortex finder carries the relatively clean fluid to a filtration chamber (70) which encircles the cylindrical tube. The filtration chamber houses a filter element (72) which is used to extract the remaining unwanted debris from the fluid before it exits the cyclonic filter assembly.
(FR) Cette invention se rapporte à un ensemble filtre cyclone (10) servant à séparer les débris non désirés contenus dans un fluide. Cet ensemble filtre cyclone comprend une chambre de séparation centrifuge orientée verticalement (30), qui reçoit une injection tangentielle du fluide chargé de débris. Cette injection tangentielle amène le fluide à circuler autour d'un diaphragme cylindrique (60) placé dans la chambre en relation coaxiale par rapport à elle. Des forces centrifuges agissant sur les débris amènent ceux-ci à se déplacer en s'éloignant du centre de la chambre. Le diaphragme possède une ouverture (62) qui attire le fluide relativement propre à proximité du centre du tourbillon, tandis que le fluide chargé de débris se dépose dans une chambre collectrice (50) située sur le tube cylindrique. Le diaphragme transporte le fluide relativement propre jusqu'à une chambre de filtrage (70) qui entoure le tube cylindrique.
