Abstract:
(EN) A beam (17) of acoustic energy comprising acoustic radiation, and the associated acoustic streaming of an ultrasonic beam (17), is used to indent or applanate (flatten) the eye. These two effects produce acoustic pressure on the eye which partially overcomes the IPO of the eye. A concurrent determination of acoustic pressure and the distortion of the eye allows one to determine the IOP.
(FR) Un faisceau (17) d'énergie acoustique comportant un rayonnement acoustique, et l'effet de canalisation acoustique associé d'un faisceau ultrasonique (17) sont utilisés pour inciser ou aplanir l'oeil. Ces deux effets produisent une pression acoustique sur l'oeil qui dépasse partiellement la pression intra-oculaire de l'oeil. Une détermination simultanée de la pression acoustique et de la déformation de l'oeil permet de déterminer la pression intra-oculaire.
