Abstract:
(EN) A method of establishing the amount of communications traffic that would be handled by an additional transceiver placed within a communications network having a number of existing base transceiver stations is disclosed. Many known methods rely on monitoring and logging traffic in range of a test receiver, leading to the technical problem that the method involves the use of complex logging apparatus at the test site. The present invention solves that problem by transmitting an interfering signal from a proposed transceiver location (A, B), and relying on recording equipment (54) connected to the base station (10) to log the reports of mobile phones (27-38) concerning the quality of the downlink communication channel from the base station (10) to them.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de détermination du total du trafic de communications qui serait traité par un émetteur-récepteur supplémentaire placé dans un réseau de communication possédant plusieurs stations d'émetteurs-récepteurs de base existantes. Plusieurs procédés connus se basent sur le contrôle et l'enregistrement du trafic dans la portée d'un récepteur d'essai, ce qui crée un problème technique du fait que le procédé entraîne l'utilisation d'un dispositif d'enregistrement complexe au site d'essai. Grâce à la présente invention, on peut résoudre ce problème en transmettant un signal d'interférence à partir d'un emplacement d'émetteur-récepteur proposé (A, B), puis en faisant appel à du matériel d'enregistrement (54) connecté à la station de base (10) pour enregistrer les rapports des téléphones mobiles (27-38) sur la qualité du canal de communication en liaison descendante de la station de base (10) à ces téléphones mobiles.
