Abstract:
(EN) Chemical sensors are based upon compounds of transition metals. The group IIIB to group VIIIB metals, and the compounds are preferably carbides, nitrides, borides or silicides. The sensors are highly selective, and show large changes in electrical properties as a result of absorption of specific chemical species. Desorption characteristics of the sensors can be utilized to identify particular materials.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des détecteurs chimiques à base de composés de métaux de transition. Les métaux sont ceux des groupes IIIB à VIIIB, et les composés sont, de préférence, des carbures, des nitrures, des borures ou des siliciures. Les détecteurs sont hautement sélectifs, et présentent de grandes modifications dans les propriétés électriques résultant de l'absorption d'espèces chimiques spécifiques. On peut utiliser les caractéristiques de désorption des détecteurs pour identifier des matières particulières.
