Abstract:
(EN) An ignition system including a semiconductor chip which has a high withstand voltage and is constructed so as to cause a large current to flow between a first terminal and a second terminal, and on which is formed a power transistor having a high input impedance at a control terminal. The chip includes a protection circuit mounted thereon and composed of a power-supply circuit for receiving an input voltage supplied between the control terminal and the first terminal when the power transistor is set in an ON state so as to form a stabilized voltage and a control circuit for comparing a reference voltage formed on the basis of a constant voltage supplied by the power-supply circuit with a voltage corresponding to a current flowing through the power transistor so as to control the input voltage supplied to an input control terminal of the power transistor so that the current flowing through the power transistor does not exceed an allowable current.
(FR) Ce système d'allumage comprend une puce à semiconducteur pouvant supporter une tension élevée, conçue pour qu'un courant important puisse circuler entre une première et une seconde borne, et sur laquelle on a formé un transistor de puissance possédant une impédance d'entrée élevée au niveau d'une borne de commande. Sur cette puce, on a monté un circuit de protection comprenant un circuit d'alimentation destiné à recevoir une tension d'entrée fournie, entre la borne de commande et la première borne, lorsque le transistor de puissance est mis à l'état de fonctionnement, de façon à former une tension stabilisée, ainsi qu'un circuit de commande destiné à comparer une tension de référence formée d'après une tension constante fournie par le circuit d'alimentation, avec une tension correspondant à un courant circulant à travers le transistor de puissance, afin de commander la tension d'entrée fournie à une borne de commande d'entrée du transistor de puissance, de façon que le courant circulant à travers le transistor de puissance n'excède pas un courant permis.
