Abstract:
(EN) A composition comprising aqueous fluid absorbent polymer particles which have been heat-treated at temperatures greater than 170 °C for more than 10 minutes, wherein the composition has been remoisturized, after the heat-treatment, with an aqueous additive solution, in the absence of an organic solvent or water-insoluble, non-swellable powder, and comprises 1 to 10 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the composition, water and wherein the composition is characterized by the ability to absorb at least 20 grams of a 0.9 weight percent aqueous saline solution under a pressure of 0.3 psi (21,000 dynes/cm2), that is, a 60 minute 0.3 psi (21,000 dynes/cm2) AUL greater than 20 grams/gram. A process for preparing such a composition.
(FR) L'invention concerne une composition comprenant des particules polymères absorbant les fluides et ayant été traitées thermiquement à des températures supérieures à 170 °C pendant plus de 10 minutes, ladite composition ayant été réhydratée, après le traitement thermique, à l'aide d'une solution d'addition aqueuse, en l'absence d'un solvant organique ou d'une poudre non gonflante et insoluble dans l'eau. Ladite composition comprend 1 à 10 pour cent en poids d'eau, par rapport au poids total de la composition, et se caractérise en ce qu'elle peut absorber au moins 20 grammes de 0,9 % en poids d'une solution saline aqueuse, à une pression de 0,3 psi (21000 dynes/cm2, ce qui correspond à une absorption sous une charge (AUL) de 0,3 psi en 60 minutes (21000 dynes/cm2) supérieure à 20 grammes/gramme. L'invention se rapporte aussi à un procédé de préparation de ladite composition.
