Abstract:
(EN) An ultrasonic processing method is disclosed wherein during the processing time interval the motional amplitude and engaging force of the resonating horn (20) and thereby the power and engaging pressure to the workpiece (24) is varied to improve weld strength and decrease weld cycle time. The variation in motional amplitude and engaging force may be in response to a process condition such as a change in dimensions of the workpiece, a sharp rise in the transducer power curve, or in response to the lapse of a predetermined time interval.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement par ultrasons selon lequel, pendant l'intervalle de temps entre les traitements, on varie l'amplitude de mouvement et la force de contact du bras à souder (20) et par conséquent la puissance et la pression de contact sur la pièce (24) afin d'améliorer la résistance de la soudure et réduire le temps de cycle de la soudure. La variation dans l'amplitude de mouvement et la force de contact peut s'effectuer en réponse à une condition de traitement telle qu'un changement dans les dimensions de la pièce, une augmentation brusque dans la courbe de puissance du transducteur, ou en réponse à l'écoulement d'un intervalle de temps prédéterminé.
