Abstract:
(EN) Metal foams are impregnated with a phthalonitrile prepolymer. The metal foam/polymer composite formed upon curing has excellent acoustic damping, structural properties, oxidative stability, and flame resistance. Foams of various metals, such as aluminum, titanium, nickel, copper, iron, zinc, lead, silver, gold, platinum, tantalum, and alloys based on these metals may be used.
(FR) Des mousses métalliques sont imprégnées avec un prépolymère de phtalonitrile. Le composite mousse métallique/polymère formé après durcissement présente d'excellentes propriétés d'absorption acoustique et structurelles, est stable à l'oxydation et résiste au feu. Des mousses de divers métaux, tels que l'aluminium, le titane, le nickel, le cuivre, le fer, le zinc, le plomb, l'argent, l'or, le platine, le tantale, et des alliages de ces métaux, peuvent être utilisés.
