Abstract:
(EN) A centrifugal blood separator for separating whole blood into at least two blood fractions such as a plasma fraction and a blood cell fraction. The blood separator has a centrifuge vessel (30) which is provided with a separation chamber (36) having at least two sections (51, 52) with different diametral sizes. The larger diameter section (51) collects the heavier blood cell fraction (101) during centrifugation. The smaller diameter section (52) collects the lighter plasma fraction (102). Fluid communication subassemblies (80) preferably have a feed conduit (86), a product or an outflow conduit (88) and a vent (87) which are mounted in a nonrotatable part (85) and positioned in an extending or extendible manner into the separation chamber (36) to allow blood fractions to be removed while the centrifuge vessel (30) is rotating or after rotation has stopped depending upon specifics of the particular embodiment.
(FR) L'invention porte sur un séparateur centrifuge des globules sanguins, permettant d'obtenir, à partir de sang complet, d'une part une fraction plasmatique et, d'autre part, une fraction constituée par les globules sanguins. Ce séparateur est constitué d'une cuve centrifuge (30) pourvue d'une chambre de séparation (36) comportant au moins deux parties (51, 52) de diamètre différent. Dans la partie de plus grand diamètre (51) est recueillie la fraction plus lourde constituée par les globules sanguins (101) durant la centrifugation. Dans la partie au diamètre plus réduit (52) est recueillie la fraction plasmatique plus légère (102). Des sous-ensembles (80) en communication fluidique sont, de préférence, pourvus d'un conduit d'alimentation (86), d'un conduit pour produit ou débit sortant (88) et d'une mise à l'air libre (87), montés dans la partie non rotative (85) et positionnés en extension ou de manière extensible dans la chambre de séparation (36) afin de permettre l'enlèvement des fractions sanguines tandis que la cuve centrifuge (30) est en rotation, ou bien lorsqu'elle est immobile à la suite de sa rotation, et ce, en fonction des spécificité de la réalisation.
