(EN)An apparatus (10) for removing volatile organic compounds from a stream of contaminated air (22) has a first hollow member (12) wherein contaminated air (22) is contacted with adsorbent particles (48). Perforated members (32, 34, 36, 38) are disposed within first hollow member (12) and are used for increasing the predetermined velocity rate of stream (22) such that adsorbent particles (48) are suspended therein. Second hollow members (14, 16) are coupled to first hollow member (12) and to heat source (20) for reconditioning adsorbent particles (48) using a heated purge gas (84). Also included is a method for removing the volatile organic compounds from a stream of contaminated air (22) using the above apparatus.
(FR)L'appareil (10) permettant d'extraire des composés organiques volatils d'un flux d'air contaminé (22) comprend un premier élément creux (12) dans lequel l'air contaminé (22) entre en contact avec des particules adsorbantes (48). Des éléments à perforations (32, 34, 36, 38), mis en place dans ce premier élément creux (12), ont pour but d'accélérer le débit prédéterminé du flux (22) de sorte que les particules adsorbantes s'y trouvent en suspension.
