Abstract

A method for reconstructing a planar image slice in a CT scanner having a predetermined reconstruction angle and including a detector array having n rows, n being an integer greater than 1, said method comprising: acquiring X-ray attenuation data from the detector array along a predetermined portion of a helical scan path in the vicinity of an axial position corresponding to the planar image slice, wherein the predetermined portion has an angular extent that is generally equal to the reconstruction angle; and processing the data to reconstruct an image of the slice, using data acquired substantially only along the predetermined portion of the scan path.

L'invention concerne un procédé de reconstruction d'une coupe d'image plane dans un tomodensitomètre présentant un angle de reconstruction prédéterminé et comprenant un réseau de détecteurs comportant n rangées, n étant un nombre entier supérieur à 1. Ledit procédé consiste à acquérir des données d'atténuation de rayons X à partir du réseau de détecteurs, le long d'une partie prédéterminée d'un trajet hélicoïdal de scintigraphie, à proximité d'une position axiale correspondant à la coupe d'image plane, la partie prédéterminée présentant un degré angulaire généralement égal à l'angle de reconstruction, et à traiter les données afin de reconstruire une image de la coupe au moyen de données acquises sensiblement uniquement le long de la partie prédéterminée du trajet de scintigraphie.
