Abstract

An apparatus (300, 400) and a concomitant method is disclosed for recovering or adjusting quantized coefficients by using a nonlinear method. The method operates by fitting the received signal into one of several predefined classes, and adjusting the signal as appropriate to better fit the best suited class.

L'invention concerne un appareil (300, 400) et un procédé concomitant servant à récupérer ou à ajuster des coefficients quantifiés au moyen d'un procédé non linéaire. Le procédé comporte les étapes consistant à mettre en place le signal reçu dans l'une des différentes classes prédéfinies, et ajuster le signal de façon appropriée pour qu'il corresponde le mieux dans la classe la plus adéquate.
