(EN)A laser device comprises a longitudinal lightwaveguide in which a fundamental mode and of at least one higher-order lateral mode of a coherent lightwave exists. At least one loss element is arranged at the lightewaveguide at least approximately near a position where a relative intensity maximum of the higher-order lateral mode and a relative intensity maximum of the fundamental mode are located at different positions. The loss element attenuates the higher-order lateral mode.
(FR)Ce dispositif laser comporte un guide d'ondes lumineuses longitudinal dans lequel existent un mode dominant ainsi qu'au moins un mode latéral d'ordre plus élevé d'une onde lumineuse cohérente. Un élément de perte au moins se trouve dans le guide d'ondes lumineuses au moins approximativement près d'un emplacement où un maximum d'intensité relative du mode latéral d'ordre plus élevé et où un maximum d'intensité relative du mode dominant se situent à des points différents.
