(EN)A process of making surface sized paper products, in which an aqueous, starch containing surface sizing composition is employed, and a corresponding aqueous, starch containing surface sizing composition are described. Besides starch at least one water soluble polymer and at least one water insoluble polymer are employed. Surprisingly a surface sizing is achieved by this combination which avoids the disadvantages of the use of a water soluble or a water insoluble polymer alone, but at the same time maintains the benefits of the use of water soluble or water insoluble polymer alone.
(FR)L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de produits de papier encollés en surface, utilisant une composition d'encollage aqueuse, à base d'amidon. L'invention traite aussi d'une composition d'encollage aqueuse, à base d'amidon, correspondante. Outre l'amidon, au moins un polymère soluble à l'eau et au moins un polymère insolubles à l'eau sont utilisés. Cette combinaison permet d'obtenir un encollage de surface qui évite les inconvénients d'un polymère soluble à l'eau ou d'un polymère insoluble à l'eau utilisés seuls, mais en même temps, conserve les avantages de ces polymères lorsqu'ils sont utilisés seuls.
