Abstract:
(EN) A pressure regulator for dispensing gas from a high pressure supply at a predetermined reduced pressure. The regulator comprises a housing (1A, 1B) having an outlet (5) for said reduced pressure, an inlet (4) for connection to the high pressure supply and a valve (7) and valve seat (8). Springs (6, 13) apply forces to the valve (7) so that in use the valve (7) is balanced at an equilibrium position to pass gas at the predetermined reduced pressure to said outlet (5). A venting orifice (16) downstream of the valve (7) dissipates excessive outlet pressure above the predetermined reduced pressure. The operation of the venting orifice (16) is dependent upon the position of a piston (10). Orifice (21) in housing (1B) is used to recharge the high pressure supply and may include a one way valve. Main valve seat may be made of Polytrichlorofluoroethylene (Kel-f).
(FR) L'invention concerne un régulateur de pression capable de fournir un gaz sous une pression réduite spécifiée. Le régulateur comprend un carter (1A, 1B) pourvu d'une sortie (5) basse pression, d'une entrée (4) haute pression, d'une soupape (7), et d'un siège de soupape (8). Des ressorts (6, 13) soumettent la soupape (7) à des forces de façon qu'en service, la soupape (7) soit dans une position d'équilibre laissant passer vers la sortie considérée (5) le gaz à la pression réduite spécifiée. Un évent (16) en aval de la soupape (7) permet d'évacuer l'excédant de pression de sortie dépassant la pression réduite spécifiée. Le fonctionnement de l'évent (16) dépend de la position d'un piston (10). L'orifice (21) du carter (1B), qui sert à recharger l'alimentation haute pression, peut comporter une soupape anti-retour.
