(EN) The present invention provides isolated recombinant nucleic acid constructs comprising a dual bacterial promoter operably linked to a heterologous nucleic acid which encodes a desired polypeptide. The constructs are useful for the expression of the desired polypeptides in bacterial cells at high levels.
