Abstract:
(EN) A monitoring system for monitoring the health status of a patient and transmitting to a remote receiver a signal, based on measured physiological parameters. A sensor is incorporated in a finger ring or other article of apparel so as to monitor skin temperature, blood flow, blood constituent concentration, or pulse rate of the patient. The data are encoded for wireless transmission by mapping a numerical value associated with each datum to a pulse emitted after a delay of a specified duration following a fiducial time. Multiple ring bands and sensor elements may be employed for deriving three-dimensional dynamic characteristics of arteries and tissue of the finger.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil de surveillance permettant de surveiller l'état de santé d'un patient et de transmettre un signal à un récepteur à distance, sur la base de paramètres physiologiques mesurés. Un capteur est incorporé dans un annulaire ou un autre article d'un appareil de façon à surveiller la température cutanée, le débit sanguin, la concentration de la fraction sanguine ou la fréquence du pouls du patient. Les données sont codées pour une transmission sans fil par mise en correspondance d'une valeur numérique associée à chaque donnée avec une impulsion émise après une temporisation d'une durée spécifique faisant suite à un intervalle de confiance. De multiples bandes d'annulaires et de multiples éléments de capteurs peuvent être utilisés de façon à dériver des caractéristiques dynamiques tridimensionnelles des artères et des tissus du doigt.
