A brushless exciter diode wheel system includes a diode wheel (12) and an electrical connection apparatus that is coupled to the diode wheel. The electrical connection apparatus includes a fuse support block (14), a diode support block (18), and a connector (24, 26, 28) for electrically connecting the fuse support block to the diode support block. This connector permits the system to carry at least about 2000 amps of current, which is far in excess of the current capacity of conventional systems.

Système constitué par un volant à diode et par un excitateur sans balais et comprenant un volant à diode (12) et un appareil de couplage électrique couplé au volant à diode. Cet appareil de couplage électrique comprend un bloc porte-fusibles (14), un bloc de support de diode (18) et un connecteur (24, 26, 28) servant à relier électriquement le bloc porte-fusibles au bloc de support de diode.
