Abstract:
(EN) The exhaust fume purification of lean-driven internal combustion engines, in particular Diesel engines, is problematic as regards nitrogen oxide removal, since the exhaust fume has a high oxygen content, in particular when the internal combustion engine is underloaded. Setting a rich exhaust fume mixture is only possible by strongly choking the air supply to the internal combustion engine, but this necessarily reduces comfort. The oxygen content at the intake (11) of an internal combustion engine (1) can be reduced by increasing the exhaust fume return rate through an exhaust fume return line (4) when the NOx accumulator (7) is regenerated, so that a rich exhaust fume mixture is achieved already at the usual or even only slightly increased amounts of injected fuel. Such a regeneration of the NOx accumulator (7) is particularly advantageous in the lower underload range of the internal combustion engine (1).
(FR) L'épuration des gaz d'échappement de moteurs à combustion interne mûs par un mélange pauvre, notamment de moteurs diesel, pose des problèmes au niveau de l'élimination de l'oxyde d'azote puisque, notamment dans un état de charge faible du moteur à combustion interne, les gaz d'échappement présentent une teneur élevée en oxygène. La mise au point d'un mélange de gaz d'échappement riche n'est possible que par un étranglement important de l'arrivée d'air au moteur, moyennant quoi on doit toutefois se résigner à des pertes de confort. Une conduite de recyclage des gaz d'échappement (4) permet, lors de la régénération de l'accumulateur d'oxyde d'azote (7), de diminuer la teneur en oxygène au niveau de l'admission (11) d'un moteur à combustion interne (1) par l'augmentation de la vitesse de recyclage des gaz d'échappement, de sorte qu'un mélange de gaz d'échappement riche est déjà obtenu avec des quantités d'injection de carburant usuelles ou même uniquement légèrement accrues. Une telle régénération de l'accumulateur d'oxyde d'azote (7) est particulièrement avantageuse dans la plage de charge partielle inférieure du moteur à combustion interne (1).
(DE) Die Abgasreinigung von magerbetriebenen Brennkraftmaschinen, insbesondere Dieselbrennkraftmaschinen ist hinsichtlich der Stickoxidentfernung problematisch, da insbesondere in einem niedrigen Lastzustand der Brennkraftmaschine das Abgas einen hohen Sauerstoffgehalt hat. Das Einstellen eines fetten Abgasgemisches ist nur durch eine starke Drosselung der Luftzufuhr zu der Brennkraftmaschine möglich, wodurch aber Komforteinbußen in Kauf genommen werden. Mittels einer Abgasrückführungsleitung (4) kann beim Regenerieren des NOx-Speichers (7) am Einlaß (11) einer Brennkraftmaschine (1) der Sauerstoffgehalt durch Erhöhung der Abgasrückführungsrate soweit abgesenkt werden, daß bereits mit üblichen oder auch nur leicht erhöhten Kraftstoffeinspritzmengen ein fettes Abgasgemisch erreicht wird. Eine solche Regeneration des NOx-Speichers (7) ist insbesondere im unteren Teillastbereich der Brennkraftmaschine (1) vorteilhaft.
