(EN)A method of manufacturing a vehicle body panel from a plurality of layers of reinforced polypropylene (12) and a bonding element (14) of aluminium foil or braid is disclosed. The polypropylene layers and the bonding element are compression moulded together thereby to bond the layers together to form a panel and to bond the bonding element to the polypropylene. The panel can then be attached to an extruded aluminium frame (18) by adhesive applied to the bonding elements.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de panneaux de carrosserie de véhicule à partir d'une pluralités de couches de polypropylène armé (12) et d'un élément de liaison (14) fait d'une feuille ou d'une natte d'aluminium. Le procédé consiste à mouler par compression ensemble les couches de polypropylène et l'élément de liaison de façon à former un panneau et à lier l'élément de liaison au polypropylène. Ce panneau peut se monter sur un entourage d'aluminium extrudé (18) au moyen d'un adhésif appliqué sur les éléments de liaison.
