(EN)A material (3) effective for adsorbing NOx from an exhaust stream of a combustion process, such as from an internal combustion engine (1) operating under lean burn conditions, is disclosed. The material (3) comprises an alkali metal-doped and copper-doped hydrous metal oxide material that has been calcined. The alkali metal is selected from potassium and sodium. The material is coated onto a substrate, such as ceramic beads or pellets, or a honeycomb cordierite monolith, and placed in contact with the exhaust stream.
(FR)Le présente invention concerne une matière (3) adsorbant l'oxyde d'azote (NOx) contenu dans le flux d'échappement d'un processus de combustion, telle que celui d'un moteur à combustion interne (1) fonctionnant dans des conditions de mélange pauvre. La matière (3) comprend un oxyde métallique hydrique dopé par un métal alcalin et par du cuivre, et calciné. Le métal alcalin est choisi entre le potassium et le sodium.
