Abstract

A seal for a regenerative air preheater is comprised of two members (230a, 230b) that each has a plurality of tabs (235a) and slots (238). The tabs and slots interlock so that the tabs on one member are positioned adjacent the slots on the other member. Further, the tabs have a narrow neck section (243) and a wider sealing section (241). The wider sealing sections overlay and the narrow neck sections are positioned within a recessed region of the notch on the opposite member so as to interlock the two members.

L'invention concerne un joint pour préchauffeur à chaleur régénérative comprenant deux éléments (230a, 230b) ayant chacun une pluralité de languettes (235a) et d'encoches (238), lesquelles s'imbriquent de sorte que les languettes d'un élément soient adjacentes aux encoches de l'autre élément. Les languettes ont une patte étroite (243) et une partie attache superposable plus large (241). La partie attache plus large et la patte étroite s'appliquent sur une zone en retrait, dans l'encoche de l'élément opposé, pour imbrication des éléments.
