Schaumstoffelement zur Schalldämmung von Hohlräumen, insbesondere von Leichtmetall-Strangpreßprofilen, wie sie im Schienenfahrzeugbau verwendet werden. Das erfindungsgemäße Schaumstoffelement (10) umfaßt ein mindestens zweischichtiges Schaumstoffsandwich aus einer Federschicht (11) und mindestens einer Schwerschicht (12), die auf der Federschicht (11) aufgebracht ist. Die Federschicht (11) besteht insbesondere aus Polyurethan-Weichschaum, die Schwerschicht (12) besteht insbesondere aus Polyurethan-Flockenverbundschaum. Das erfindungsgemäße Schaumstoffelement (10) ist vor dem Einbringen in einen zu bedämpfenden Hohlraum (22) derart komprimiert in eine luftdichte Folie (13) eingeschweißt, daß es durch eine Öffnung (21) des Hohlraums (22) in diesen eingeschoben werden kann. Nach dem Einbringen und Plazieren des Schaumstoffelements (10) wird die Folie (13) geöffnet, wodurch unter Luftzufuhr das Schaumstoffelement (10) derart expandiert, daß die mindestens eine Schwerschicht (12) durch die Federschicht druckbeaufschlagt im wesentlichen flächig an den Wänden (23) des Hohlraums (22) anliegt.

A foam component for soundproofing hollow spaces, especially extruded light metal sections, as used in rail vehicle construction. The foam component (10) of the invention comprises an at least two-layer foam sandwich consisting of a spring layer (11) and at least one heavy layer (12) applied to the spring layer (11). The spring layer (11) consists especially of soft polyurethane foam and the heavy layer (12) especially of flocculated composite foam. The foam component (10) of the invention is compressed and welded into an airtight foil (13) before insertion in a hollow space (22) to be soundproofed in such a way that it can be pushed through an aperture (21) into the hollow space (22). After the foam component (10) has been inserted and put in position, the foil (13) is opened so that the foam component (10) expands with the supply of air in such a way that the at least one heavy layer (12) is applied substantially flat to the walls (23) of the hollow space (22) under the pressure of the spring layer.

L'invention concerne un élément en matériau alvéolaire pour insonoriser des cavités, notamment des profilés en métal léger obtenus par extrusion, du type de ceux utilisés dans la construction de véhicules sur rails. Ledit élément en matériau alvéolaire (10) présente un sandwich de mousse comportant au moins deux couches, à savoir une couche élastique (11) et au moins une couche lourde (12), appliquée sur la couche élastique (11). La couche élastique (11) est essentiellement en mousse polyuréthane souple. La couche lourde (12) est essentiellement en mousse composite floquée. Avant d'être introduit dans une cavité à insonoriser, l'élément en matériau alvéolaire (10) produit selon l'invention est comprimé et soudé dans une pellicule (13) étanche à l'air, de manière à pouvoir être poussé dans la cavité (22) par une ouverture (21) de ladite cavité. Après insertion et positionnement de l'élément en matériau alvéolaire (10), la pellicule (13) est ouverte et, sous l'effet de l'arrivée d'air, l'élément en matériau alvéolaire se gonfle de sorte que la ou les couches lourdes (12) sont poussées par la couche élastique et viennent reposer sensiblement à plat contre les parois (23) de la cavité (22).
