Es wird eine optische Reihenschaltung (1) aus einer ersten optischen Übertragungsstrecke (4), einem ersten Polarisator (5), einer Faraday-Sensoreinrichtung (3), einem zweiten Polarisator (6) und einer zweiten optischen Übertragungsstrecke (7) temperaturkalibriert, indem die Polarisatorwinkel der beiden Polarisatoren (5, 6) auf besondere Weise eingestellt werden. Das Kalibrierverfahren funktioniert auch bei nicht bekannter Eigenachse der linearen Doppelbrechung in der Sensoreinrichtung.

An optical series mounting (1) consists of a first optical transmission section (4), a first polariser (5), a Faraday sensor (3), a second polariser (6) and a second optical transmission section (7) which is temperature calibrated by adjusting in a particular manner the angle of polarisation of the two polarisers (5, 6). This calibration process works even when the inherent axis of linear birefringence in the sensor is not known.

L'invention concerne un montage optique en série (1) constitué d'une première section de transmission optique (4), d'un premier polariseur (5), d'un capteur de Faraday (3), d'un deuxième polariseur (6) et d'une deuxième section de transmission optique (7) que l'on étalonne thermiquement en réglant de manière particulière l'angle de polarisation des deux polariseurs (5, 6). Ce procédé d'étalonnage peut être mis en oeuvre même lorsque l'axe intrinsèque de biréfringence linéaire du capteur n'est pas connu.
