Abstract

An electroluminescent system (10) in which neighboring layers (13, 14) are suspended, prior to application, in advantageously a unitary carrier compound, so that after curing, the layers (13, 14) form active strata within a monolithic mass. The carrier compound in a preferred embodiment is a vinyl resin in gel form. The invention enables several manufacturing advantages, including the ability to silkscreen print the entire electroluminescent system (10) on a variety of substrates (17), including cloth, metals, plastics, wood or even stone.

Cette invention se rapporte à un système électroluminescent (10) dans lequel des couches voisines (13, 14) sont mises en suspension avantageusement, avant leur application, dans un composé porteur monolithique, de telle sorte qu'après leur réticulation, ces couches (13, 14) constituent des strates actives au sein d'une masse monolithique. Dans une réalisation préférée, ledit composé porteur est constitué d'une résine vinylique se présentant sous forme de gel. Cette invention présente plusieurs avantages pour la fabrication, tels que la possibilité de reproduire par sérigraphie la totalité du système électroluminescent (10) sur une variété de substrats (17) du type étoffe, métal, plastique, bois et même pierre.
