Abstract
(EN)
A surface mount battery connector comprises spring terminals (4) stitched in cavities (12) of a housing (6). The terminals comprise protective side plates (46) to prevent hooking of external objects under the contacts. The terminal is further mounted in a pre-stressed manner by engagement of wings (40) with shoulders (44) within the housing. Provision of surface mount contact pads (56) that are bent through a U-bend (54) beneath the connector housing (6) enables less usage of PCB surface area and provision of large surface mount pads for secure attachment to the PCB.

L'invention concerne un connecteur de batterie monté en saillie, qui comprend des bornes élastiques (4) bloquées dans les cavités (12) d'un boîtier (6). Ces bornes comprennent des plaques latérales (46) protectrices qui empêchent l'accrochage d'objets extérieurs sous les contacts. Une telle borne est en outre montée avec une pré-contrainte par mise en contact d'ailes (40) avec des épaulements (44) situés à l'intérieur du boîtier. Le fait que les patins de contact (56) montés en saillie sont pliés pour former un U (54) en dessous du boîtier (6) du connecteur permet d'utiliser une aire de surface de plaquette à circuit imprimé plus petite et d'avoir de grands patins montés en surface permettant une fixation sûre à la plaquette à circuit imprimé.
