(EN)A closure (10) for a container comprises a spout portion (15) having a flange (25), a cap portion (35), and a link (135). The link (135) connects the spout portion (15) to the cap portion (35) at first (155) and second (50) joints. The link (135) is folded about the first joint (155) so that a portion (150) of the link (135) overlies the flange (25) and is bound thereto. The flange (25) may include a cutout (200) which receives the portion (150) of the link (135). The second joint (50) allows securement and removal of the cap (35) from the spout (15) while portion (150) of the link (135) overlies the flange (25). The portion (150) of the link (135) is bound to the flange (25) in an energy emission process which concurrently bounds the flange (25) to a thermoplastic surface of the container. A tamper evident structure (275) connects the cap (35) to the flange (25).
