Title (EN) $i(MAD)-RELATED GENES IN THE HUMAN
(FR) GENES D'ORIGINE HUMAINE ASSOCIES A UN GENE $i(MAD)
Abstract: front page image
(EN)Five human genes related to the $i(Mad) gene of $i(Drosophila) were identified. One of these genes ($i(JV18-1)) was found to reside at chromosome 18q21, adjacent to a previously described member of this family called $i(DPC4). $i(JV18-1) was found to be somatically mutated in two of eighteen human colorectal cancers. $i(JV18-1) and the other genes described here are important in the suppression of neoplasia by mediating the growth inhibitory effects of TGF-$g(b)-like ligands.
(FR)On a identifié cinq gènes d'origine humaine associés au gène $i(Mad) de $i(Drosophila).
