C11-C14 alkyl benzoates are included in plastisols of chlorine containing resins such as polyvinyl chloride and primary plasticisers to enhance workability of the plastisol and reduce volatility. This is particularly useful for polyvinyl chloride flooring and the production of foams from polyvinyl chloride emulsions.

On a inclus des benzoates d'alkyle C11-C14 dans des plastisols de résines contenant du chlore, telles que du polychlorure de vinyle, ainsi que des plastifiants classiques afin d'accroître la maniabilité du plastisol et de réduire la volatilité de celui-ci. Ce processus s'est révélé particulièrement utile pour des revêtements de sol à base de polychlorure de vinyle et pour la production de mousses à partir d'émulsions de polychlorure de vinyle.
