Adhesive sheets made by using an acrylic pressure-sensitive flame-retardant adhesive which is excellent in adhesion performances, such as a bonding power and a high-temperature holding power, and exhibits such self-extinguishing properties (i.e., flame retardance) as to extinguish itself in an instant. They can be produced by preparing a photopolymerizable composition comprising (a) 100 parts by weight of a monomer mixture (or an oligomer mixture) comprising 70 to 100 wt.% of alkyl (meth)acrylates wherein the alkyl groups have 2 to 14 carbon atoms on an average and 30 to 0 wt.% of monoethylenically unsaturated monomers copolymerizable therewith, (b) 0.02 to 5 parts by weight of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate as a cross-linking agent, (c) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a photopolymerization initiator, and (d) 10 to 180 parts by weight of a flame retardant having a melting point of 60 °C or above, preparing a pressure-sensitive flame-retardant adhesive containing this composition, and applying this adhesive to one or both surfaces of a substrate.

Feuilles adhésives fabriquées au moyen d'un auto-adhésif acrylique ignifuge sensible à la pression possédant des propriétés excellentes d'adhérence, telles qu'une force d'adhérence et de tenue à température élevée, ainsi que des propriétés ignifuges, à savoir qu'il peut s'éteindre immédiatement. On peut fabriquer ces feuilles en préparant une composition photopolymérisable qui contient (a) 100 parties en poids d'un mélange de monomères (ou d'un mélange d'oligomères) comprenant 70 à 100 % en poids de (méta)crylates d'alkyle dans lesquels les groupes alkyle possèdent 2 à 14 atomes de carbones en moyenne et 30 à 0 % en poids de monomères monoéthylèniquement insaturés copolymérisables avec ces derniers, (b) 0,02 à 5 parties en poids d'un (méta)crylate polyfonctionnel en tant qu'agent de réticulation, (c) 0,01 à 5 parties en poids d'un déclencheur de photopolymérisation et (d) 10 à 180 parties en poids d'un ignifuge dont le point de fusion est égal ou supérieur à 60 °C. On prépare ensuite un auto-adhésif ignifuge sensible à la pression contenant cette composition et on applique cet adhésif à une ou aux deux surfaces d'un substrat.
