Abstract
(EN) An automated design process and apparatus for use in designing complex structures, such as circuits, to satisfy prespecified design goals (1008-1016), using genetic operations (1046). The present invention uses a population of entities (1022) which may be evolved to generate structures (1024-1028) that may potentially satisfy the design goals (1008-1016). The behavior of such generated structure is evaluated (1008) in view of the design goals, and those structures more closely meeting the design goals are evolved further (1020-1044) until a structure is generated that either meets the prespecified design goal (1010-1016) or some other process completion criteria (1046). In this manner, a design complex structure may be obtained.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé ainsi qu'un appareil de conception automatisée à utiliser pour la conception de structures complexes, telles que des circuits, devant être conformes à un cahier des charges défini (1008-1016), et ce, en ayant recours à des opérations du domaine de la génétique (1046). Le procédé consiste à utiliser une population d'entités (1022) qu'il est possible de faire évoluer jusqu'à générer des structures (1024-1028) susceptibles d'être conformes au cahier des charges (1008-1016). Le comportement des structures ainsi générées donne lieu à une évaluation de conformité (1008) au cahier des charges, à la suite de quoi, celles des structures qui sont conformes au cahier des charges sont soumises à une évolution ultérieure (1020-1044) jusqu'à obtenir par génération, soit une structure conforme au cahier des charges, soit une structure conforme à d'autres critères (1046) de réalisation du procédé. Le procédé permet ainsi d'obtenir une structure de conception complexe.
