Abstract

Low-order layers are synthesized by using first part area information from a preceding low-order layer and second part area information from succeeding low-order layer. A succeeding low-order layer frame is used for an area which is composed only of a first part area on a low-order layer frame, which is synthesized by calculating the weighted mean of the preceding and succeeding low-order layer frames with respect to an area in which the first and second part areas overlap upon another or an area which is not the first part area nor second part area on the low-order layer frame to be synthesized, and the preceding low-order layer frame is used for an area in which only the second part area exists on the low-order layer frame to be synthesized.

Dans cette invention, des images d'arrière-plan sont synthétisées à l'aide d'informations portant sur une première zone partielle provenant d'une image d'arrière-plan précédente, et d'informations portant sur une seconde zone partielle provenant d'une image d'arrière-plan suivante. Une trame d'image d'arrière-plan suivante est utilisée pour une zone se composant uniquement d'une première zone partielle apparaissant sur une trame d'image d'arrière-plan à synthétiser, tandis qu'une trame d'image d'arrière-plan précédente est utilisée pour une zone dans laquelle seule la seconde zone partielle apparaît sur la trame d'image d'arrière-plan à synthétiser. Cette trame d'image d'arrière-plan à synthétiser est obtenue en calculant la valeur moyenne pondérée de trames d'images d'arrière-plan précédente et suivante pour une zone dans laquelle la première et la seconde zone partielle se chevauchent ou pour une zone différente de la première et de la seconde zone partielle à synthétiser.
