Abstract

Device for detecting the presence of an electrically conducting object (1) in a predetermined area. There is a device (23) for emitting a driving signal in the shape of an alternating current. There is also a capacitive sensor element (5) and a means (30) to detect the change in capacitance between said sensor element and the surroundings which is caused by present object or absent object. A second capacitive element is formed by a second sensor element (29) which is driven by a second driving signal (25) which is in counter-phase relative to the first driving signal (24). Alternatively, the second capacitive element can be in the shape of a screening element which load-wise is isolated from the sensor element but maintains essentially the same potential as it.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de détection de la présence d'un objet électro-conducteur (1) dans une zone prédéterminée. Ce dispositif comprend un élément (23) destiné à émettre un signal de commande se présentant sous la forme d'un courant alternatif. Il comprend également un élément détecteur capacitif (5) et un dispositif (30) permettant de détecter le changement de capacitance entre l'élément détecteur et l'environnement, ce changement étant dû à la présence ou à l'absence d'un objet. Un second élément capacitif est formé par un second élément détecteur (29) qui est commandé par un second signal de commande (25) se trouvant en contre-phase par rapport au premier signal de commande (24). Selon une autre variante, le second élément capacitif peut se présenter sous la forme d'un élément de filtrage qui, à la manière d'une charge, est isolé de l'élément détecteur mais conserve principalement le même potentiel que ce dernier.
