Abstract

A lubricating oil for compression refrigerators which has a satisfactory compatibility with hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants containing pentafluoroethane and usable as a substitute for the chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants regarded as causative of environmental pollution, and which has a high volume resistivity and excellent stability and lubricity. This oil contains as the main component a polyvinyl ether compound made up of structural units (a) represented by general formula (I) or both the units (a) and structural units (b) represented by general formula (I'): wherein R represents a C1-3 hydrocarbon group optionally containing an ether bond therein, and R' represents a C3-20 hydrocarbon group optionally containing an ether bond therein.

La présente invention concerne une huile lubrifiante pour réfrigérateurs à compression faisant preuve d'une compatibilité satisfaisante avec les réfrigérants à base d'hydrofluorocarbures contenant un pentafluoroéthane. L'huile de l'invention convient pour remplacer les réfrigérants à base de chlorofluorocarbures qui ont la réputation d'être polluants. En outre, cette huile est caractérisée par une bonne résistance volumique, une excellente stabilité et un haut pouvoir lubrifiant. Le composant principal de cette huile est un composé polyvinyle éther constitué d'unités structurelles (a) représentées par la formule générale (I) ou l'ensemble des unités (a) et des unités structurelles (b) représentées par la formule générale (I'). Dans ces formules, R représente un groupe hydrocarbure en C1-3 contenant éventuellement une liaison éther, R' représentant un groupe hydrocarbure en C3-20 contenant éventuellement une liaison éther.
