Catalyst compositions that are highly tolerant of catalyst poisons comprising a cationic or zwitterionic Group 4 metal complex of the constrained geometry type and an organoaluminum hydrocarbyloxide compound according to the formula R12Al(OR2), wherein R1 and R2 independently each occurence are C1-30 hydrocarbyl, the molar ratio of complex to organoaluminum hydrocarbyloxide compound being from 1:0.1 to 1:100.

Cette invention se rapporte à des compositions de catalyseurs qui ont une grande tolérance aux poisons des catalyseurs et qui comprennent un complexe métallique de groupe 4 cationique ou zwitterionique du type à géométrie contrainte et un composé hydrocarbyloxyde d'organoaluminium ayant la formule R12Al(OR2), où R1 et R2 représentent séparément à chaque occurrence hydrocarbyle C1-30, le rapport molaire entre le complexe métallique et le composé hydrocarbyloxyde d'organoaluminium étant compris entre 1/0,1 et 1/100.
