Abstract

A lathe for machining spherical and non-spherical surfaces without using a combination of several translational movements of the tool holder assembly is disclosed. The lathe mainly comprises three controlled axes of movement. A tool holder assembly (2) is rotatably mounted under the horizontal spindle axis (HB) about a vertical axis (V) that is perpendicular to and intersects the spindle axis (HB). The spindle (10) may be slidably mounted along its axis (HB). The tool holder carriage (4) is also horizontally slidable on the rotary plate (3) in a direction (T) that intersects the vertical axis (V). The lathe is useful for all turning operations.

Le tour permet d'usiner des faces sphériques et asphériques sans utiliser en combinaison plusieurs mouvements de translation de l'ensemble porte-outil. Il possède principalement trois axes cinématiques asservis. Un ensemble porte-outil (2) est monté tournant, en dessous de l'axe horizontal de la broche (HB), autour d'un axe vertical (V) qui est perpendiculaire et sécant avec l'axe de la broche (HB). La broche (10) peut être montée coulissante le long de son axe (HB). Le chariot porte-outil (4) est également monté coulissant de manière horizontale sur le plateau tournant (3) dans une direction (T) qui coupe l'axe vertical (V). Application à tous les usinages par tournage.
