Abstract

A switchable voltage-controlled oscillator (14) includes at least one signal input node receiving reference and modulation signal inputs and a signal output node. Resonant circuitry (52, 54) establishing the operating frequency range of the voltage-controlled oscillator is coupled to the at least one signal input node. An amplifier (50) has an input coupled to the resonant circuitry and an output coupled to the signal output node. A feedback path (17) extends from the output of the amplifier to the resonant circuitry. The resonant circuitry is switchable to introduce at least one reactive circuit element thereto to alter the operating frequency range of the voltage-controlled oscillator.

L'invention concerne un oscillateur (14) commandé en tension, réglable par commutateur. Cet oscillateur comprend au moins un noeud de signaux d'entrée recevant des signaux d'entrée de modulation et de référence et un noeud de signaux de sortie. Un circuit oscillant (52, 54) établissant la plage de fréquence opérationnelle de l'oscillateur commandé en tension est couplé à au moins un noeud de signaux d'entrée. Un amplificateur (50) comporte une entrée couplée au circuit oscillant et une sortie couplée au noeud de signaux de sortie. Une chaîne de rétroaction (17) s'étend à partir de la sortie de l'amplificateur en direction du circuit oscillant. Ce dernier est réglable par commutateur pour introduire au moins un élément de circuit réactif pour modifier la plage de fréquence opérationnelle de l'oscillateur commandé en tension.
