100 parts by weight of rubber component including rubber having an iodine value not greater than 30 (for example, hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer rubber) and 5-100 parts by weight of conductive carbon of specific surface area 20-2,000 m2/g are blended in a solvent (for example, methyl isobutyl ketone) so that it can be formed into a film of 0.01-0.2 mm thick by a casting process, thus preparing a conductive rubber film having a volume resistivity of 0.1-5 $g(V).cm in the direction perpendicular to its film surface. An electrical double-layer capacitor is formed which includes the conductive rubber film as a collector and uses an aqueous electrolyte. This capacitor has a small internal resistance and can serve as a high-output capacitor.

On mélange 100 parties en poids d'un produit à base de caoutchouc comportant du caoutchouc à indice d'iode de 30 ou moins (par exemple un copolymère d'acrylonitrille hydrogéné et de butadiène) avec de 5 à 100 parties en poids de carbone conducteur présentant une surface spécifique de 20 à 2000 m2/g dans un solvant (par exemple du méthylisobutylcétone). Le mélange est ensuite moulé pour former un film d'une épaisseur comprise entre 0,01 et 0,2 mm présentant une résistivité volumique perpendiculairement à la surface du film comprise entre 0,1 et 5 $g(v).cm. On peut ainsi former un condensateur double couche à électrolyte aqueux auquel le film de caoutchouc sert de collecteur, qui présente une faible résistance intérieure et qui peut servir de condensateur à fort rendement.
