Abstract
(EN)
An electrical connector with enhanced grounding characteristics which reduce the possibility of signal transmission error includes a connector housing (2) formed from an electrically insulative material, a plurality of conductive terminals (3) mounted on the connector housing, the terminals having tail portions (7) which extend out of and away from the connector housing for attachment to a printed circuit board. A conductive grounding plate (4), in the form of a metal shield, is mounted to the exterior of the connector housing. The grounding plate includes at least one grounding terminal (9) integrally formed therewith and extending outwardly therefrom at the level of the connector conductive terminals in a space between two adjoining conductive terminals.

La présente invention concerne un connecteur électrique présentant des caractéristiques renforcées de mise à la masse et réduisant les possibilités d'erreurs de transmission des signaux. Ce connecteur est constitué d'un carter de connecteur (2) fait en une matière électriquement isolante, et d'une pluralité de bornes conductrices (3) montées sur le carter de connecteur, les zones caudales (7) des bornes dépassant sur l'extérieur du carter de connecteur pour le raccordement à une carte de circuit imprimé. Une plaque de mise à la masse (4) conductrice, constituant un blindage métallique, est disposée à l'extérieur du carter de connecteur. Cette plaque de mise à la masse fait pièce avec au moins une borne de mise à la masse (9) dépassant vers l'extérieur de la plaque au niveau des bornes conductrices du connecteur, en un espace situé entre deux bornes conductrices voisines.
