A CMOS image sensing device includes, on one integrated circuit, a sensor array (12) and compensation circuitry (14) for adjusting signals output from the sensor array (12) to compensate for output signal variations, such as variations caused by voltage, temperature or process variations. The integrated circuit also includes logic circuitry (18) for performing image processing operations on signals output from the sensor array (12). The sensor array (12) is illuminated by a flat light source and variations among the magnitude of analog output signals from the elements are detected and corresponding compensation values are calculated and stored in the compensation circuitry (14). Thereafter, analog signals output from the sensor array (12) are adjusted in accordance with the compensation values.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'imagerie CMOS et qui, sur un circuit intégré, comprend un groupement de détecteurs (12) et un circuit de compensation (14) permettant d'ajuster les signaux fournis à la sortie du groupement de détecteurs (12) pour compenser les variations de signal à la sortie (par exemple, suite aux variations de tension, de température ou de traitement). En outre, le circuit intégré comprend un circuit logique (18) qui accomplit les opérations de traitement d'image sur les signaux fournis à la sortie du groupement de détecteurs (12). Ledit groupement (12) est éclairé par une source lumineuse d'intensité uniforme, les variations d'amplitude entre les signaux analogiques fournis à la sortie des éléments étant alors détectées, ce qui permet d'évaluer les valeurs de compensation correspondantes aux fins de mémorisation dans le circuit de compensation (14).
