A method of and an apparatus for drying pulverized bodies are provided which have an effect in dispersing the pulverized bodies in a drier with the advantages of a conventional flush drier provided, and which are capable of lengthening the residence time of pulverized bodies and improving the dried condition of pulverized bodies. The pulverized body drying method is constituted by the steps of forming a turning ascending current of a heated gas in a cylindrical container having inner spaces which are concentric in an arbitrary horizontal cross section, and dispersing pulverized bodies in a floated state in the turning ascending current to dry them. The pulverized body drying apparatus is provided with a cylindrical container having inner spaces which are concentric in an arbitrary horizontal cross section, pulverized body and heated gas introduction pipe joined to a lower portion of the cylindrical container, a swirl mechanism adapted to turn a heated gas, which is supplied from the introduction pipe, into a turning ascending current in the cylindrical container, and a pulverized body and heated gas discharge pipe joined to an upper portion of the cylindrical container.

L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil, permettant de sécher des corps pulvérisés, et de disperser des corps pulvérisés dans un dessiccateur et ce, tout en présentant les avantages attachés aux dessiccateurs classiques à flux. Cet appareil est capable d'allonger le temps de séjour des corps pulvérisés et d'améliorer leurs conditions de séchage. Le procédé de séchage de corps pulvérisé consiste, d'une part à former un courant ascendant rotatif d'un gaz réchauffé dans un récipient cylindrique pourvu d'aires concentriques dans une section transversale horizontale arbitraire et, d'autre part à disperser des corps pulvérisés en état de flottement dans le courant ascendant rotatif dans le but de les sécher. L'appareil de séchage de corps pulvérisé est pourvu d'un récipient cylindrique comportant des aires intérieures concentriques dans une section transversale horizontale arbitraire, d'un tuyau d'introduction du corps pulvérisé et de gaz réchauffé, relié à une partie inférieure du récipient cylindrique, d'un mécanisme à remous conçu pour faire tournoyer un gaz réchauffé, provenant du tuyau d'introduction, dans un courant ascendant rotatif dans le récipient cylindrique et d'un tuyau d'évacuation du corps pulvérisé et du gaz réchauffé, relié à une partie supérieure du récipient cylindrique.
