Abstract

Novel response regulator polypeptides and DNA (RNA) encoding such polypeptides and a procedure for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing such polynucleotides and polypeptides for the treatment of infection, particularly bacterial infections. Antagonists against such polypeptides of the invention and their use as a therapeutic to treat infections, particularly bacterial infections are also disclosed. Also disclosed are diagnostic assays for detecting diseases related to the presence of the nucleic acid sequences and the polypeptides of the invention in a host. Also disclosed are diagnostic assays for detecting polynucleotides encoding response regulators and for detecting the polypeptide in a host.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux polypeptides de régulateurs de réaction et l'ADN (ARN) codant ces polypeptides, ainsi qu'un procédé de production de ces polypeptides au moyen de techniques de recombinaison. Elle concerne également des procédés d'utilisation de ces polynucléotides et polypeptides, afin de traiter des infections, notamment bactériennes, des antagonistes des polypeptides et leur utilisation thérapeutique, afin de traiter des infections, en particulier des infections bactériennes, ainsi que des dosages diagnostiques servant à détecter des maladies liées à la présence des séquences d'acides nucléiques et des polypeptides chez un hôte. Elle concerne enfin des dosages diagnostiques servant à détecter des polynucléotides codant des régulateurs de réaction et à détecter le polypeptide chez un hôte.
