(EN)A process for making a superconducting fiber or wire (10) is provided. The superconducting fiber or wire (10) has a superconducting core (12) and a glass cladding outer layer (14). The process comprises melting a superconducting composition (16) and a glass composition (18) and simultaneously drawing the compositions from a bushing (26) with the glass cladding layer (14) surrounding the superconducting core (12). The wire (10) is then annealed to create a superconducting crystalline phase.
(FR)Cette invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une fibre supraconductrice ou d'un câble supraconducteur (10). Ledit câble supraconducteur (10) comporte un noyau supraconducteur (12) et une couche externe (14) de gainage en verre. Ledit procédé constiste à fondre une composition supraconductrice (16) et une composition vitreuse (18) et à étirer de manière simultanée lesdites compositions à partir d'une buse de moule (26), la couche de gainage en verre (14) enveloppant le noyau supraconducteur (12). Le câble (10) est ensuite recuit en vue de la création d'une phase cristalline supraconductrice.
