Abstract:
(EN) A fiber optic splice closure assembly has a generally elongate casing (12) having two generally parallel side walls (16, 17), first and second end walls (18, 20), and a generally planar base (22), the side walls and end walls extending substantially perpendicular to the base. The optical fiber splice tray (10) may include a combination of one or more: lateral pivot assemblies (70); longitudinal hinge assemblies (80); alignment bosses (104, 106); buffer tube receiving channels (110) having a buffer tube retainer (114); insert retention socket (124) and insert (130, 144, 148); splice block (160); tier bracket hinge assembly (170); and interlocking assembly (180) to assist in aligning and securing a plurality of such splice trays (10) together and to secure buffer tubes (15) within the splice tray (10) and assist in optical fiber dressing within the splice tray.
