(EN)An apparatus for measuring the position of a conductive target is disclosed. The present invention uses a radio frequency oscillator (84) and a phase detector circuit (86) to excite an eddy current probe (22) while maintaining circuit resonance. The output of the coil is demodulated (60) and subsequently linearized using an analog to digital converter (140), a digital signal processor (146), and a memory (154). The linearized digital output signal (144) is converted back to an analog signal (152), the voltage of which is preferably directly proportional to the position of the conductive target in relation to the probe (22).
(FR)L'invention concerne un dispositif servant à mesurer la position d'une cible conductrice. Cette invention met en application un oscillateur (84) radiofréquence et un circuit (86) détecteur de phase, afin d'exciter une sonde (22) à courant de Foucault, tout en maintenant la résonance du circuit. La sortie de la bobine est démodulée (60) et, ensuite, linéarisée au moyen d'un convertisseur analogique-numérique (140), d'un processeur (146) de signaux numériques et d'une mémoire (154).
